Overview

VINCI Architects & Engineers is a USA-based architecture and engineering firm that offers integrated design solutions all in one place. The project involved creating a website that reflects the professional atmosphere of architecture and engineering while ensuring excellent performance, engaging animations, and optimized SEO.

The Challenge

The main challenge was designing a website that matched the feel of an architecture and engineering firm. It needed to be visually appealing and highly functional. The key goals included:

  • Delivering smooth animations without slowing down page load speed
  • Optimizing the site for search engines (SEO) to help the firm attract more clients
  • Building a CMS that the client could manage on their own

The Solution

To tackle these challenges, we used WordPress as the CMS, combined with a fully custom-built theme and modern front-end tools.

WordPress Custom Theme

We developed a custom WordPress theme from scratch to ensure complete design freedom and fit with the architecture and engineering style. This approach allowed us to have fine control over markup, styles, and performance improvements.

TypeRocket Plugin

We integrated the TypeRocket plugin to manage custom post types and meta fields, which enabled organized content management for the firm’s projects, team members, and services through a clean, purpose-built admin interface.

Tailwind CSS

We used Tailwind CSS for styling, allowing for rapid development of a responsive design that adapts smoothly across devices and screen sizes.

My Role

As the team lead on this project, my responsibilities included:

  • Leading the development team and coordinating tasks between front-end and back-end efforts
  • Integrating the front-end design with the WordPress backend for a smooth experience
  • Designing and developing the admin panel with custom fields that suited the client’s workflow, making content management easy for non-technical users
  • Communicating with the client to gather requirements, share progress, and incorporate feedback throughout the project lifecycle
